This program is a prevention/education program that helps young people with real issues such as alcohol and drug use and premature sexual activity. It goes beyond teaching them to "Say No" by engaging them in activities to help them make smart decisions.
It is broken up into different age ranges and is for both boys and girls. |

| Description: |
Advocacy training program is for those interested in becoming certified to answer hotline calls and accompany survivors or sexual assault to local law enforcement agencies and hospital ERs.
The training program adds up to approximately 40 hours of presentations by local law enforcement agencies, tours of local ERs, an overview of hospital and legal procedures regarding sexual assault and many other topics.
The training will take place over the course of a month and will meet 3 times a week for 4 weeks, each meeting lasting approximately 3 hours.
Everyone interested must fill out an application, interview in house, and pass a background check. |
