Description:
Elder-Aid is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides services to the low-income elderly (60+) in the Brazos Valley. Elder-Aid purchases and renovates small, modern homes or purchases lots and land on which to build small homes which are rented to the low-income elderly for what they can afford, thus, providing safe, modern and affordable homes so the elderly can remain independent and in their communities for as long as possible. Elder-Aid provides additional services to low-income elderly tenants and clients in the Brazos Valley including: many home repairs, lawn mowing, casework and referrals to other assistance programs, limited crises / emergency financial assistance, and transportation to medical appointments. Elder-Aid is self-funded and is not a government program. The projects and programs of Elder-Aid are funded by donations, rental income, and grants. Donations are used 100% to assist the low-income elderly residing in the Brazos Valley.
Mission Statement:
Elder-Aid's mission is to ensure that the elderly in the Brazos Valley remain independent and in the community for as long as possible.
