Description:

Our purpose is: (1) To promote the welfare and education of the children and youth eligible to attend Harvey Mitchell Elementary in the home, school and community. (2) To support the school in improving education in ways that will adhere to administrative policy and the Bryan ISD School district's mission, goals and beliefs. (3) To raise funds for programs and equipment to further the education of children and youth. (4) To bring about a closer relationship between the home and the school, that parents and teachers may work cooperatively in the education of the children and youth. (5) To educate and inform parents and community about Harvey Mitchell Elementary and Mitchell PTO and encourage involvement. (6) To foster communication, cooperation, support, information, and education within the Bryan School District, including District staff, parents, and the general community.

Mission Statement:

The Mitchell PTO is dedicated to facilitating activities and participation of parents and families to achieve educational success, to promote parent/teacher communication, and develop programs for the benefit of all Harvey Mitchell Elementary Students.
