Description:
There are over 27,000 foster children in the state of Texas. Some will go back to their homes, some will be adopted, but many of these children will "age out" of the foster care system when they turn 18 years of age. Many of these young adults end up homeless or in prison. Horizon Transitional Living (HTL) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that provides the following Programs & Services for these youth: Health & Safety, Housing & Transportation, Job Skills, Life Decisions & Preparedness, Personal & Social Relations, Coping Skills, Bible Study, Discipleship, Mentoring, Counseling, and Group Support. These programs and other services are provided through trained and dedicated staff and volunteers that are committed to the spiritual, physical, professional and social success of each of our residents.
Mission Statement:
Intentionally empowering foster youth through the aging out process spiritually, socially, structurally, and psychologically.
