Since 2015, Hands at Home Therapy has provided Patient Contact Experience (PCE) to volunteer Aggies seeking one-on-one interaction with a child having special needs. We started with a local mama whose little man on the autism spectrum needed more therapy than she could give--or afford. After 9 successful years and many of our alumni working as doctors, PAs, OTs, and the like, we've expanded to connect our volunteers with other local children having a variety of special needs. Aggies serve in the homes of these children, supporting them by implementing therapy programs, providing medical assistance, teaching basic and advanced life skills, tutoring, etc. Our volunteers must be willing to serve a minimum of 4 hours per week for 2 semesters, and during that time they have the joy of building a one-on-one connection with their patient and their patient's family.

Mission Statement:

Hands at Home Therapy supports local children with special needs so that overwhelmed parents can catch a break and volunteers gain hands-on experience with their "patient." Everyone wins.
