Summary of Opportunity:
Everyone who experiences success had a little help along the way. Help others achieve their GED. Seeking individuals who love teaching and helping in a classroom setting. Volunteers assist in providing instruction for out-of-school youths and adults in preparatory classes for the General Educational Development test, and basic literacy. Volunteers work to ensure educational activities will provide a complete package of services to help students pass the GED test. One-on-one tutoring is also needed. These positions take place in the evenings. This is a wonderful opportunity to help others to succeed and great experience for future educators.

Special Considerations

Special Skills Needed/Preferred for Opportunity:
Certified teachers are preferred, at minimum, must be a current student in an accredited four year college or university. Able to type 40 wds per min. Volunteers need to adapt their teaching methods and use tailored instructional materials to meet students' varying needs, abilities and interests.
